LINUSTATS: THE INKFLUENCER OF KAMPALA

By Amani · April 17, 2026 · 1 min read

In a Kampala where Gen Z is redefining expression, authenticity, and hustle, one name keeps rising to the top — @linustats_tattoo_studio . Equal parts artist, activist, and culture shaper, the tattoo artist from Kamwokya is transforming more than just skin — he’s changing mindsets, one clean needle at a time.

Forget the stereotypes. Tattoos in Uganda are no longer the mark of rebellion or outlaws. Thanks to @linustats_tattoo_studio ’ movement, they’re now symbols of identity, pride, and safe self-expression— with the youth leading the charge.

INKED WITH PURPOSE

At his buzzing studio in Kamwokya, Linustats — real name Linus Sydney — greets clients with gloves on, tools sealed, and energy high. He doesn’t just offer ink; he offers education.

His campaign, *#DiseaseFreeTatsUG, has gained national attention. Through social media, school workshops, and even public forums, he’s advocating for hygienic tattooing and piercing practices in an industry that’s often unregulated.

“It’s more than art,” @linus_sydenny_gimei_ says. “It’s health. It’s dignity. We can’t let self-expression come at the cost of someone’s well-being.”
